How to keep a pool clean
There are three main components to keeping a swimming pool clean and in healthy conditions year round. You can remember these steps as the three C’s. Circulation, cleaning, and chemistry.
Circulation refers to the equipment working properly. A working pump, clear baskets and clear plumbing lines, and a clean filter will ensure proper circulation as long as the pump runs for the correct amount of time.
Cleaning refers to the weekly brushing, netting, and vacuuming. Over the week all sorts of things blow into the pool. Leaves, dirt, bugs, and all other kinds of debris find their way in there and it takes consistent care to keep it all out. Brushing especially helps because algae likes to grow on the steps, walls, and in hard to reach corners and brushing knocks it off the wall where the chlorine can do its job and kill it.
Which leads to our final C, Chemistry. Balanced water is essential and is the most important aspect of a clean pool. I have a test kit that tests for Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, PH, Alkalinity, Calcium hardness, and CYA. I could write a blog about each of those, but the main thing is keeping all of those in range at all times. If you can achieve that, you will be good to go.
These are the basics of keeping a pool clean. As my mentor/friend David would always say “it’s not rocket science.” However it does require weekly maintenance and some elbow grease!

Cleburne Pool service
I am excited to continue providing service to pools in Cleburne. I get my chemicals at the Leslies in Cleburne and currently have 3 pools that I service in town. Cleburne has grown a more relevant place in my life these last several years, my brother Hill has played for the Railroaders the last three seasons and it has been a lot of fun going to games at the Depot.
I look forward to growing my business more in Cleburne. If you or anyone you may know is interested in CPO certified weekly pool service then feel free to reach out!
Why choose alexander Pool Service?
Alexander Pool Service is owner operated to guarantee customer satisfaction
First of all if you are reading these words, thank you. Not sure how many will stop by here but I enjoy writing so here goes nothing.
When I first got into the swimming pool service and repair industry, I had no experience. I had experience in pressure washing and being a golf caddie and I knew I wanted to be outside but my only experience with pools was swimming in them. However, I was drawn into the business. After lots of research I took over a route with over 50 pools. For lack of a better phrase I was thrown into the deep end. Although it was challenging and a bit overwhelming, I was exposed to about everything in the industry. I was able to learn what it takes to keep a pool operating smoothly so it can be enjoyed like it is supposed to be.
Since then, I have moved on from that route and am starting from scratch. I have gotten CPO certified, upgraded the software I use, and have a much clearer vision as to how I want to build this business. I believe one main benefit to choosing Alexander Pool Service is the fact that I am the owner-operator. When you choose me to service your pool, it is me in your back yard each week. No one else is nearly as invested in customer satisfaction as I am. I intend to keep it this way and limit the amount of pools I service so that I can continue to maintain the highest level of service possible.
If you are in need of reliable pool service in Glen Rose, TX and surrounding areas, I would love to help.
